Community Involvement
Tim's Volunteer Activities Include:
- Tim is a Board of Trustees Member of the Boy Scouts (since 2003), serving on their Investment Committee and an Executive Officer/Committee Member.
- Tim is an Explorer Post Charter Holder and teaches scouts about careers in Investing/Finance/Insurance. He also teaches the "Personal Finance merit Badge" for scouts who are working for their Eagle Scout in Finance.
- Tim has served on UNO's Advisory Board and is part of the Chancellor's club, he also gives a full ride scholarship annually to a Business School Student in Finance/Investing.
- Tim was a 2 year Board member at Millard Public Schools and he was on the Investment Committee of the Foundation.
- Tim Co-Chaired the Boy Scouts golf outing in 2006, where they raised $60-70,000 and he is a Heritage Member.
- Tim has been on the EO (Entrepreneur Organization Board) for two years, 2005-2006 and was the Learning Chair.
- Tim is on the Salvation Army's Advisory Board and has been involved for the past 5 years raising funds for the "Tree of Lights" Christmas campaign. He is also on the DJ's Hero Luncheon Committee.
- Tim has been involved in alot of miscellaneous things for the United Way - Endowment Committee, Friends of Scouting - Major of Boy Scouts etc...
- In addition to time spent - Tim gives to a number of different causes mostly centered around education - especially for those in need and children - Tim's passion is in Financial Education.
